Baby and Child Car Seats at Babys-Mart
There are many car seats on the market which makes choosing the right carseat a difficult decision. Each of these brands offer the full range of child carseats from birth to 13kg (rearward facing car seat) which is also known as group 0+, 0 to 4 years which is known as group 0 + 1, 9 months to 4 years which is known as group 1 (forward facing car seat), 9 months to 11 years which is know as group 1 + 2 + 3, 4 years to 11 years which is known as group 2 + 3, and also booster seats which is known as group 3.
Isofix Car Seats
Babys-Mart also sells Isofix carseats. Most of these baby car seat manufacturers also offer ISOfix. A new type of universal and semi universal method of installing your car seat that is becoming more common and standard on new vehicles. Isofix car seats simply install either with an Isofix base or with an integral Isofix system. The benefits of using Isofix is that it eliminates incorrect fitting. Isofix carseats are now available in all child car seat groups from 0+ through to group 2 + 3. group 0+ baby car seats that have Isofix use an Isofix base. The base is installed into the car and the baby car seat simply clicks into the base. The most popular examples of this are the Britax Cosy Tot Premium, the Recaro Young Profi and the Maxi-Cosi Cabrio. Group 0+ Baby Car Seats
Group 0+ car seats are suitable from birth to approximately 12-13kg, these are all rearward facing car seats. Babys-Mart offer a wide range of baby car seats from all the top brands including Maxi-Cosi, Recaro, Britax, Graco, Silver Cross, Mamas and Papas and Jane. All group 0+ carseats install rearward facing and as mentioned previously can be installed either using the vehicle's internal seat belts or Isofix bases. Babys-Mart only stock the best car seats on the market, but we do have our favourites. For example we recommend the following; Maxi-Cosi Cabrio, Recaro Young Profi, and the Britax Cosy Tot Premium. You must ensure that the car seat you choose is suitable for your vehicle and correctly installed.
Group 0 + 1 Baby Car Seats
Group 0+1 carseats are suitable from birth to 4 years. Babys-Mart offers one option for this classification. The Britax First Class is suitable from newborn to approximately 12-13kg the car seat is rearward facing. When the baby exceeds 13kg the Britax First Class car seat should then be forward facing from 9 to 18kg.
Group 1 Child Carseats
Group 1 carseats are suitable from 9 to 18kg which is approximately from 1 year to 4 years. These child car seats always forward facing car seats and can be installed using the vehicle's internal seat belts or some have integrated Isofix fittings. Group 1 car seats are full of features including multi-position recline and one pull harness adjustment. Babys-Mart has a wide choice of brands available in this group 1 classification from Britax, Recaro, Maxi-Cosi and Mamas and Papas. Babys-Mart does have its favourites in this group, we like the following; Recaro Young Expert, Maxi-Cosi Tobi, Mamas and Papas Pro-Tec and the Britax Explora STS. This car seat group also offers Isofix options including the Britax Duo Isofix, Recaro Young Expert which uses an Isofix base and the Mamas and Papas Pro-Tec Isofix.
Group 2 3 Child Car Seats
Group 2 3 car seats are suitable from 15 to 36kg which is approximately from 4 years to 11 years and are forward facing carseats. These car seats act as a booster seat and raise the child up so they can utilise the vehicle's internal seat belts. So there is not installation on this class of car seat. Just feed the vehicle's internal seat belt through the child car seat. Babys-Mart would recommend the following child car seats in this group. The Britax 2 3 Evolva and Britax 2 3 Evolva Ultra, Recaro Monza and the Maxi-Cosi Rodi. There are also some Isofix options in the group. Babys-Mart would recommend the Recaro Monza Seatfix and the Britax Evolva 2 3 Isofit.
